About
This journey is essentially about learning. Learning about language, Egypt, people, and myself. By no means is this process unique, pioneering, or revolutionary for anyone but me, which is all anyone can really say about life anyway. A record of perspective is what each individual makes and takes.
I’ll keep my end of the writer’s bargin by writing about what interests me (and hope that you, in turn, are entertained). I’ll update as often as my schedule allows, so long as it does not interfere with my experience. Photos, interviews, anecdotes, and narrative are all fair game.
Your job, then, my dear reader, is to refrain from remarks that may offend anyone’s personal, religious, or national pride. Constructive criticism, debate, and points of correction are otherwise welcome.
I hope my trip will prove to be as informative for those of you who take the time to read this page as it is for me.

Hey Allison,
Too cool that you’re half way round the world in ancient Egypt! Loved the fact that it rained the day you got there - you bring relief wherever you go!
Your dad directed me to the blog - too cool! Keep up the good work - see you back in the states.
